When I was nineteen I found myself pregnant , alone and lost. I had no one to turn to for sage advice or encouragement. The one line I remember most distinctly being said to me was … ” You made your bed now lie in it.”
So, I did.
And Even though life turned out differently than I had anticipated I am all the better for it.
I have a beautiful Daughter… (Red Hair, Blue eyes – - – you are all at once smitten)
A carrer as a Freelance writer.
and yes, finally a peace…I am on the other side of the mountain.
So, the thought has always been in the back of my mind if someone, anyone would have reached out to me and offered me some type of support and comfort, then the long road I faced may not have been so bumpy (who am I kidding there were huge mammonth pot-holes).
This web-site is devoted to the single mom who needs a kind word, a laugh, and above all else – to know that she is not alone.

it’s 10pm. there’s quiche baking in the oven, i’m in the middle of writing a paper, and my son is asleep. csi plays in the background, to offset the quiet lonliness of my house. there’s no gold band on my finger either. and your website brought tears to my eyes. thank you! i look foward to reading more of what you have to say. it’s not easy being a single mom, but it’s so nice to know there’s other moms out there doing the same thing i am.

I’m not a single parent but my mother was. Single parents are incredible!
